The Key West boat shoe is a very good one, in my view. I think that my predecessor was not fair to it. Here is why: first, it is very comfortable. I walk all day in mine and do not have sore feet; I am not sure what kind of rubber the sole is made of, but it seems to absorb impact. So I have run in them on concrete just as I would run wearing Nike or Puma running shoes. Second, it is a highly water resistant shoe. I can wear these in the rain and my feet stay dry. And third, it looks really nice, less trendy than ecco's newer model. I much prefer these to the Mephisto felix or the Sperry Gold cups I have worn before. I would have preferred a better heal grip, but these are still some of the best on the market. It was also nice that the shoes arrived very promptly after I ordered them.
